Tomah Health is listed on a national list of healthcare facilities with a CMS 5-Star rating for cleanliness.
Tomah Health was one of thirty facilities in Wisconsin named to the list by Becker’s Hospital Review, an industry leading print publication.
“It’s not surprising that we were on this list,” said CEO Derek Daly. “The recognition is truly the result of a combined staff effort led by our Facilities Services and the quality work by our Environmental Services Techs. Their work enables us to provide quality care 365 days a year.”
Becker’s compiled the list in conjunction with the CMS’s Patient survey (HCAHPS)-Hospital database which listed hospital ratings based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems surveys. This is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients who listed their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay. The surveys were completed between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, and most recently updated Jan. 8.
Wisconsin had the most 5-star rated hospitals for cleanliness in the U.S. with 30 hospitals. A total of 374 hospitals across the country received the rating.
