Tomah Health is expanding! Our new 9,500 sq. ft. expansion is a natural result of the growth Tomah Health has experienced over the past 5 years.

The Professional Development Center will enhance clinical services and expand core areas for Tomah Health with two meaningful additions. The Felton Conference Center will open up the hospital for community programs and partner events, highlighting the involvement Tomah Health has to our community. The Felton Simulation Lab will include a training, education, and simulation area to promote ongoing education.

“Growth has been occurring for the last five or six years and that is the biggest reason that we’re moving forward with this expansion,” says Derek Daly, Tomah Health CEO.

The expansion wouldn’t have been possible without a generous donation from John and Velda Felton of Warrens, Wisconsin. They donated $1.1 million to Tomah Health for future growth through the Felton Trust.

The Felton Conference Center and Felton Simulation Lab are named in their honor. John Felton owned and operated Felton Manufacturing, which specialized in equipment design for cranberry growers. His wife, Velda Felton, was active in the former Tomah Memorial Hospital Auxillary and an ardent supporter of the Hospice Touch and Palliative Care programs, which also received a donation through the trust.

Tomah Health held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 30, 2025. Construction for the expansion is scheduled to take 10 months with an official opening in March 2026.
