Tomah Health was one of 765 hospitals nationwide and among 40 in Wisconsin named to a list of hospitals patients would highly recommend according to Becker’s Hospital Review, an industry-leading print publication.
Becker’s compiled the list of the hospitals patients would recommend in each state using Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
CMS created 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. The patient recommendation star rating combines data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes if patients would recommend the system to their friends and family.
The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients between October 2024 and September 2025. The figures are from CMS’ Provider Data Catalog and were released Aug. 13.
