Becker’s compiled a list of hospitals that earned five-star ratings for nurse communication in each state, according to CMS’ Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems data.
CMS shares 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures.
For nurse communication, data from HCAHPS survey questions summarized how well patients feel that their nurses explained things clearly, listened carefully to them, and treated them with courtesy and respect.
The data was collected between July 2024 and June 2025.
