Tomah Health Recognized for Cleanliness For Third Year

For the third year in a row, Tomah Health is listed on a national list of healthcare facilities with a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 5-Star rating for cleanliness.

Tomah Health was one of 396 hospitals nationwide and among 30 in Wisconsin named to the list by Becker’s Hospital Review, an industry leading print publication.

Becker’s compiled the list of U.S. hospitals with a CMS 5-star rating for cleanliness.

Tomah Health Facility Services Director Steve Loging said the recognition is a testament to the work and commitment by hospital staff. “We are extremely honored to receive the recognition for the third year in a row,” said Loging. “This acknowledgment is an endorsement of the work of our staff and strengthens our commitment to the care and safety of our patients and visitors.”

CMS’ patient survey hospital database listed hospital ratings based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems surveys. HCAHPS is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay.

The surveys were completed between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. The data was updated May 13, 2026.
