Monroe County Health Dept. Expands COVID Vaccine

The Monroe County Health Department is offering the COVID-19 vaccination to people 65 years and older. The Department has been receiving many calls and inquiries from community members interested COVID-19 vaccination.

Individuals who are interested in receiving a COVID-19 vaccine can now fill out a COVID-19 interest form. CLICK HERE

This interest form does not allow individuals to set up an appointment to get the vaccine, but to be connected to a vaccinator. Either Monroe County Health Department or a local healthcare provider will reach out to schedule a vaccination appointment once they are able to vaccinate individuals (please be aware this may take a while).

Officials ask individuals only fill out the form once. Signing up multiple times will not improve chances of receiving the vaccine sooner.

If individuals are not able to complete the form, then they can e-mail covid19@co.monroe.wi.us

People without access to a computer or internet, can call Monroe County Health Department at 608-269-8666 and press 3.

Officials say depending on eligibility, it may be several months before you’re contacted to set up a vaccination appointment.

Currently, the following populations are able to be vaccinated.

  • Frontline healthcare workers
  • Individuals 65 and older (beginning 1/25/21)
  • Law enforcement or firefighting employees
  • Other 1A eligible employees who may have missed previous vaccination opportunities
